NACA Welcomes Officers from The China Ministry of Foreign Affairs

NACA welcomed to Atlanta, a group from The China Ministry of Foreign Affairs who were participating in The Asia Foundation's Observation Tour entitled, "Perspectives on Religion, State and Society in the U.S."  The group consisted of four Fellows who came to the U.S. in pursuit of their Master's Degrees at Tufts University and Johns Hopkins.  To end their year-long stay, the Fellows were sponsored for a program developed by The Asia Foundation to travel to various cities and explore the intersecton of religion and public policy in America, with Atlanta being their last stop.  NACA hosted the four officers and The Asia Foundation's Julia Chen, Program Officer to the Asian-American Exchange, with a dinner at Royal China on Wednesday, May 19th.

Numerous NACA members, including Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall were in attendance to answer questions and generate an upbeat dialogue with the Fellows who were eager to learn more about the lives of Chinese-Americans, religion and the role of China in the U.S. economy.
